Its fairly common for Adwords to suspend ads for no good reason. Less often accounts too. So here are some things to do if this is you;

  • First, read the material the provide about the ban. While it is often covers a variety of reasons you want to know these possible system triggers.
  • If you have an account manager, speak with them. Ideally someone that has a local non-call centre based role. If you dont have this, maybe a friend who spends more does. A direct contact makes a world of difference.
  • Check the website that there are not goods/service somewhere the crawler is possibly finding. Run a crawler and look at pages as sometimes that older website has a buried product page you never knew about.
  • Check the website isn’t hacked and there are not spam links hidden somewhere.
  • See the ad language, It can be a single word. E.g. I learnt to avoid the work ‘clinic’ for vets/doctors as ads getting banned as they bulk include this as pharmaceutical products.
  • If you do have an ad banned, for right or wrong, dont keep hitting the re-review option. They might ban the account if you keep doing this rather than looking to resolve the issue.
  • Speak with a professional. Sometime you can tear your hair out for days trying to find a cause someone more familiar with these issues can solve quickly.
